Pas de Deux

Crowned with flowers his own sweet gentle dove,
on satined shoes, pease blossom peach in rosied hue.
Tresured with such a care and showered with love,
she in oystered cream frilled in powdered blue.
Gently, hands accepts his favor from satined glove
where petticoats swirled gossamer flaired in pas de deux.
From chance first meeting on the bridge by the green,
little knowing was conspired by others now unseen.

  1. This is just so naive, beautiful in its own kind. I am amazed. Lovely!

  2. You paint a beautiful and romantic picture here. I love the imagery and you realized the rhyme scheme perfectly weaving your words with care, colour and tone. Your syllable count is off in the second, fifth and sixth lines. I am thinking you may have purposely used some anapests, but I need to hear you read it or see your scan. However at any count lines two and six are still too long. It's up to you if you want to edit further. It's beautiful as it stands. Thanks, Gay

  3. I just love the lushness of each line, the fragrance and texture of the flowers, the flounce of fabrics. Gorgeous.
